Aloe Vera Juice With Your Morning Coffee

Aloe Vera Juice With Your Morning Coffee

I don’t think there’s any limit to what people are putting in their coffee these days. I was shook when I came home to my mother putting butter and oil in her coffee. It took me a while to get used to it but we made it over the hump. But now people are even putting aloe vera juice in their coffee and, as it turns out, for very good reasons.

I don't know about you, but when I think of aloe vera “juice” I think about being at the beach with my family as a kiddo and crying as my parents but that icky gel all over my body because I was too stubborn to put on sunscreen the day before. Luckily for us, that’s not the same thing that goes into the coffee. The juice is exactly that, a juice from the aloe very plant, with a similar consistency as the apple and orange juices that are in our fridges every day. Note that it does have a sour taste to it though so don’t expect the sweetness of apple juice.

It turns out that aloe vera juice has some very impressive nutritional statistics. It is absolutely packed with vitamins, including folic acid, vitamin C, B, and E. All of these vitamins have been shown to help with healthy and youthful looking skin. Not only is it rich in vitamins, it’s also very water-dense which is very helpful in fighting off dehydration. And, as you know from my other articles (or if you haven’t ready them, do it now), being hydrated is vital for your overall health.

Another benefit of aloe vera juice is the work it puts in for your digestive system. It’s been shown to help patients with irritable bowel syndrome, as it contains enzymes that fight inflammation in the bowels and intestines. Those super helpful enzymes also break down fats and sugars in the digestive system, making it much easier for your body to absorb all of those nutrients you’re working so hard to get. When the digestive system is inflamed or not working at it’s optimum level, it doesn’t absorb all of the nutrients and vitamins from your diet.

Fun fact: aloe vera juice is low in sugar and has almost no calories.

So through away the cream and sugar and pass down the aloe vera juice! Well, maybe just a little sugar…

Happy Souping!
